Oxford Wedding Photography with the incredible Sara & Adi, at the stunning Oxford Town Hall in the city centre.
Its been a hectic summer, with a crazy wedding season and the birth of Bertie I have unfortunately neglected the blog for a few months! Now things have started to calm down its been great sitting down and going through all of the weddings from earlier in the year again.
The first wedding of 2014 was a wonderful winter Oxford wedding set in the stunning, if not a little temperamental (I’ll get to that in a minute) Oxford Town Hall. The day began in true british winter fashion, wind blowing and teeming with rain! Despite the weather the girls were in great spirits as they all got ready in the beautiful Old Bank Hotel.
Following a classic oxford rickshaw ride across the city the girls arrived at the town hall to a ceremony room full of friends and family and an very excited Adi. After the ceremony Sara, Adi and myself braved the elements to take a quick walk around the city dodging the rain and the puddles.
Unfortunately after the wedding breakfast before the partying could begin the power went in the hall, undithered everyone piled into the main hall whilst the venue staff endeavoured to restore the power. Luckily the power came on long enough for the first dance and the ceilidh to begin before the entire buildings substation shut down (i had mentioned earlier it was temperamental) and everyone was evacuated. Despite changing venues twice (moved to the pub across the road before heading down to The Living Room Bar & Restaurant), both Sara & Adi were amazing throughout and did not stop smiling once . . .
