London wedding photography, with the brilliant Molly & Tom. I have been waiting to share this stunning wedding ever since I shot it. With some incredible venues across the whole of London it was easily one of the biggest weddings of the year.
The day started at the beautiful Sicilian Avenue, with the girls enjoying a relaxing coffee on the avenue itself. Before heading to the exclusive Brooks & Brooks sylist to begin the days preparations. After all the washing, drying, styling and make was complete we hopped into a pair of black cabs to make our way to The Sanderson Hotel where girls were staying. After the girls had finished getting ready and had exchanged some wonderful gifts, we all headed back out to the streets of London to hail a couple more cabs to make our way over to the church.
The church, nestled amongst the high rise buildings of the financial district, was the stunning Dutch Church. Sat hidden away in the middle of the city, this 15th century church was a beautiful setting for a wonderful ceremony which was even resided over by Molly’s father himself. After an incredible personal ceremony (half of which was in dutch which was great) and the craziest signing of the register I have ever seen, it was time for everyone to jump onto two Routemaster Buses to whisk them on to the reception venue.
Now the reception venue, this was a place of my dreams. The RIBA was a venue I had always dreamed of shooting in, having studied architecture in London I have had the opportunity to visit the building quite a bit. With so many beautiful spaces and architectural details, with all the extra wedding decorations and stunning flowers the venue looked incredible. After what was quite possibly the best wedding food I have ever tasted the party kicked into gear with an incredible band. Molly & Tom lead the way with their first dance closely followed by Molly taking to the floor with her father, this was a brilliantly touching american tradition that really summed up the amazing day, no matter how far you are from your family, the ties will always bring you closer than ever.
A huge thank you again to Az from Lemontree Photography for second shooting for me . . .
